26-27 FEB. 2000, DURGA SADHANA CAMP, DURGYAANAA TEMPLE, AMRITSAR (PUNJAB)

Amritsar is a sacred and religious place. It remains as pious as it was 500 years ago. The Durgyaanaa temple and the Golden temple are witnesses to the feelings of brotherhood that exists among the Hindus and Sikhs. The place where peace and valour exists together is the state of Punjab. The mothers here feed their sons milk rich in not just courage, but also religious fervour and determination.

Around 12 in the noon revered Gurudev Sh Kailash Chandra Shrimali reached the temple precincts. All the members of the temple committee welcomed him with fragrant garlands. Thereafter he entered the temple to have Darshan (divine glimpse) of the deities. There he was welcomed by the priests.

Right beside the temple was a hall, Ved Bhavan, where the Sadhana camp was being organised. The Sadhaks welcomed revered Gurudev with loud chants of Jai Gurudev and thanked him for being there. With the chanting of Vedic Mantras he got onto the stage. Revered Gurudev Sh. Kailash Chandra Shrimaliji presented Guru Chadar (special shawls) and picture of Sadgurudev to the city RSS chief, Sh. Ram Prakash Chopra.

Sh. K.L. Sharma, Bobby Chauhan, Vijay Sharma, Dinesh Dogra and other members of the organising group welcomed revered Gurudev with flowers and garlands. Prayers were offered to Poojyapaad Sadgurudev.

Addressing the Sadhaks revered Gurudev Sh Kailash Chandra Shrimali said - "The credit of freeing India from foreign rule goes to the freedom fighters of this state. Whenever some problem threatened the security of the country the sons of this land came to the rescue. There is no difference between a martyr and a Sadhak. Both have the same duty - sacrifice!"

"The former makes sacrifice for his country while the latter for his Guru. Punjab is a land which produces brave sons for the motherland. Even today spiritualism remains alive in this land. I bless the parents of these brave youths. O brave sons of Punjab you are the pride of the nation."

The next day the chief editor of the daily Punjab Kesari, Sh Vijay Chopra, welcomed revered Gurudev on the stage. Revered Gurudev put a holy mark of vermilion on his forehead and gifted him a Guru Chadar, blessing him that he might always attain victory in life.

Praising the Guru tradition of Punjab revered Gurudev said - "The Sikhs have strengthened the devotion towards the Guru. It is due to the divine blessings of the Gurus that peace and valour exists together here."

In the last sitting of the camp Guru Diksha (first initiation), Tantra Baadhaa Nivaarann Diksha (for nullifying the effects of lowly rituals), Trishakti Diksha (for gaining wealth, wisdom and fearlessness) were given and Durga Sadhana was accomplished. Revered Gurudev blessed the Sadhaks with all comforts of life.

3-4 MAR. 2000, MAHASHIVRATRI SADHANA CAMP, KORBA (MADHYA PRADESH)

Mahashivratri festival is the most unique among all the festivals celebrated in India. On this day some people do not do any worship or Sadhana, rather they just remain on fast and keep awake all night long. There are five sects among Hindus- Sour, Gaannpatya, Sheiv, Veishnnav and Shaakt - but all celebrate the festival of Shivratri with the same enthusiasm and devotion, in the hope of gaining from Lord Shiva the blessings of prosperity as well as spiritual upliftment. The thirteenth night of the dark fortnight of the Indian month of Phalgun is known as Shivratri.

Korba is the power city, and its seven thermal power plants supply electricity to Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. This is a tribal area and the jungles here are really beautiful. When revered Gurudev Sh Nand Kishore Shrimali and revered Gurudev Sh Kailash Chandra Shrimali arrived in the city on 2nd March, a procession was taken out in their honour. The two Gurus dressed in sparkling white looked like Raajhans (divine beings). Women Sadhaks presented the famous tribal dance Karmaa, in which a woman dances with 108 pots balanced on her head.

Early morning on the 3rd of March, Sh Ram Cheitanya Shashtri got the worship of Sadgurudev and Lord Ganpati accomplished. All disciples were overcome with emotion and were crying freely. When revered Gurudev arrived on the stage he was welcomed with garlands. In his discourse revered Gurudev Sh Nand Kishore Shrimali said - " I bless all the Sadhaks and also thank them for coming here to participate in this Sadhana Camp. It is the love of the Sadhaks of Chattisgarh that has compelled me to be here thrice in just one year.If we observe our lives we shall find that there are quarrels, struggle, love and many more things in it. For some life is a journey to the infinite, while some consider it to be a continuous struggle. Life can be changed only through good company. For electric power we have the thermal power plants of Korba, but what about the energy from within? We shall have to learn how to attain true joy in life. Wealth, prosperity, fame, respect and joy can come in life when there is love in it. If you are not able to progress in life then know it that you lack determination. Shivsankalpamstu - we should be determined like Lord shiva. If you are a disciple or a Sadhak then you should be overflowing with enthusiasm. Through determination the Goddess of wealth Lakshmi can be given a permanent place in life. But never have any doubts, for if you have doubts you cannot rise high. " After this revered Gurudev gave Shiv Sankalpa Shakti Diksha (for determination) and Vishnu Vashya Mahalakshmi Diksha (for wealth and prosperity) to the Sadhaks and disciples.

In his discourse revered Gurudev Sh Kailash Chandra Shrimali said - "I feel delighted to be here in Korba. I specially bless all those who put in their effort to make this Sadhana Camp a success. A Guru is happy when his disciples are happy and a Guru assumes a human form for the good of his disciples. You are really fortunate for the Guru is before you. Now it is up to you how you benefit from this occasion. But know it that it is very difficult to understand a Guru. The Guru knows best what shape to give to your life. The Guru is well aware of all the pain and sorrows that you have to bear. Even to this day more than half of the people of Chattisgarh live below the poverty line. Even fifty years after Indian independence, the economic condition of the nation is so bad. Why?

"When there seems to be no progress in life one should seek solace in the holy feet of the Guru. When even the stars are against a human, then the only hope for him is the Guru. The Lord has not created anything useless. You are humans and you have great virtues which have to be realised. I shall be most happy when you shall achieve greater success in life and when you shall be more dedicatedly able to work for the Guru."

This two day camp was a festival of joy not just for people of Korba rather for whole of Chattisgarh. It was all due to efforts of Sh Akhil Singh Bains, Sh R.K.Soni, Sh S.K. Nevaar, Sh N.K. Mourya, Sh B.K. Jha, Sh V.K. Garg, Sh Alok Baajpey, Sh. Vadodkar, Sh Bhanu Pandey, Sh. D.R. Manhar, Sh. Santosh Soni, Sh Sudama Chandra, Sh Jagdish Sahu and Sh. D.S.Sahu under able leadership of Sh. R.C. Singh that thousands of Sadhaks were able to gather at a place in night of Shivratri to worship the Paardeshwar Shivaling. Offering of prayers went on till 3 am. Blessing the Sadhaks revered Gurudev said - "May you all be enlightened. With you Sadgurudev's name shall remain alive forever. With this blessing I make the final oblation in the holy fire."

18-19 MAR. 2000, HOLI MAHOTSAV SADHANA CAMP, GURUDHAM, JODHPUR (RAJASTHAN)

Just hearing the word Holi fills one with a divine joy and enthusiasm. Everyone feels eager on this day to be smeared in the various colours. Holi in fact means joy, happiness, fervour and laughter. Very strange is the atmosphere on this day when all people - big and small, rich and poor, strangers and relatives - forget all differences and embrace each other with love. It is a festival of showering love and affection on everyone.

Sadhaks were rushing to Jodhpur Gurudham in huge crowds in order to participate in this festival. Everyone had but one aim, the same thought i.e. to play with colours with revered Gurudev. Everyone was eager to be smeared with colours of Sadgurudev Nikhil. Sadhaks had come from all parts of India leaving their homes and relatives behind in the hope of enjoying a Holi of spiritual colours. Sadhaks embraced each other, danced together and recalled the Holies of the past which they had spent with Parampoojya Sadgurudev.

At 11 am on 18.3.2000 the Sadhana Camp started. The three Gurudevs took their seats on the stage and as Sadgurudev Nikhileshwaranand was propitiated the Sadhaks were overcome with joy. The sweet songs of Sh Jai Prakash showered real elixier and the Sadhaks danced chanting Poojya Gurudev Ki Jai. Slowly but steadily the spirit of Holi was catching on with the Sadhaks. Revered Gurudev Sh. Nand Kishore Shrimali blessed the Sadhaks for coming to the home of Sadgurudev and hoped they ever remained lost in divine love. In his discourse he said - "Lord Krishna used to take the cows for grazing. We too are cows of our Guru Nikhil."

He recalled the words of Sadgurudev when he had once said - "You are Arjun and Arjun has to struggle throughout life. I feel surprised on seeing you lost in worries. You don't have to be worried, for Krishna stands with you each moment. You can never be defeated and you shall be victorious at all costs. You don't have to fear anything. Whenever the name Krishna is remembered or chanted the names of his cowherd friends and Gopis shall be recalled. This is not just a Sadhana camp. It is a camp of joy and happiness. You just forget your worries. Whenever there is a Ravan Ram shall have to incarnate. Whenever there is a Kans, Lord Krishna shall have to appear to kill him. Similarly when the disciples call out with devotion, Sadgurudev Nikhil shall have to appear. How can you be separated from Sadgurudev? For the past twenty five lives the blood of Sadgurudev Nikhil gushes through your veins. All of you are experts in Tantra. You are not able to realise your own powers. You should all be firmly determined, for you are all followers of Lord Shiva. You should be hardworking and not depend on fate. The day you recognise your powers you shall start to succeed in Sadhanas. The Mantras devised by the Rishis cannot be false. When the Mantras are true, success in Sadhanas too can be had provided one has faith and devotion. One should try to build up one's faith in Guru through the means of selfless service to him."

After this revered Gurudev gave Bhagyodaya Diksha (for good luck) and Anang Diksha (for good health and beauty). In his discourse revered Gurudev Sh Kailash Chandra Shrimali said - "A human life has some goals. Even gods remain eager to be born as humans. If you have to go through pain and keep struggling against poverty even after being born as humans then there can be no greater misfortune than this. You shall have to do something to change things in your life. If you keep quiet and are afraid to protest against your foes, they are bound to harass you. Why don't you recognise your powers? Poojyapaad Gurudev gave you Baglamukhi Diksha so that you could take on several enemies without any fear. If you allow them to harass you, then it is an insult to such a great Guru. To make you all fearless I am giving you Baglamukhi Diksha."

In his discourse revered Gurudev Sh. Arvind Shrimali said -"The greatest boon of life is to sit in the holy feet of Guru. You are very lucky to be thus blessed. I bless you all on behalf of the entire Guru family and hope you achieve success in life."

Revered Mataji also blessed everyone to be successful in life. After singing of hymns it was time to light the Holi fire. The next days the Sadhaks played with colours with the Guru family. Later there was a feast after which the Sadhaks started for their homes overflowing with joy and enthusiasm.
